I am 79 years old and have been baking since I was 6 years old. My Mother used to sit me on a stool, open a cookbook, get out a measuring cup, and tell me she sure was hungry for some chocolate cake. Since I had learned to read, she was sure I could make her some by following the recipe. So that was my introduction to baking and cooking. To make a long story short, after 70 years of cooking and baking, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and started to use SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener instead of sugar, and began a love affair with the product.
